Man Hospitalized After Close Call with Lightning
Prince George's County authorities say the man wasn't hit directly by lightning as storms moved through. But he was taken to a hospital.

A man working outdoors in Laurel was hospitalized Thursday afternoon when lightning struck close by, say authorities.
The man didn’t suffer a direct hit by the lightning, Mark Brady, spokesman for the Prince George’s County Fire Department, said via Twitter. But, the victim suffered a medical emergency and was taken to the hospital by medics.
Brady said the man was in good condition about 3 p.m.
