Man Killed In Hit-And-Run

Police believe they have the driver in custody who they say was involved in a fatal hit and run Monday night.

TEMPLE HILLS, MD — A Temple Hills man has been fatally hit and police believe they have the suspect vehicle and driver in custody.

The collision happened Monday around 7 p.m. Prince George's police officers were called to the 3000 block of Branch Avenue for a report of a pedestrian collision. They found the victim, later identified as 76-year-old Antonio Gonzalez, in a parking lot with injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. The driver didn't stay at the scene, police reported.

Shortly after the crash, officers canvassing the area found the suspected driver and recovered what they believe is the vehicle involved in the incident.
