Man Killed Sunday In Hit-And-Run Collision In Laurel: Prince George's Police Department
A man police have yet to identify was killed Sunday when a vehicle hit him then left the scene, according to Prince George's Police.
LAUREL, MD — Detectives are investigating a fatal hit-and-run involving a man that happened Sunday in Laurel. The man will be identified once his family has been notified.
On April 21 at approximately 8:10 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 9000 block of Contee Road for a report of a crash involving a man. Officers found the individual in the road with trauma. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.
The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of an unidentified vehicle was heading eastbound on Contee Road when, for reasons under investigation, they hit the man. The driver did not remain on the scene. Investigators are working to determine the make and model of the striking vehicle and identify the driver, according to the police department.
