Man Killed In Mount Rainier Homicide: PG County Police

MOUNT RAINIER, MD — Prince George's County police officers are investigating a homicide that left a 25-year-old man dead in Mount Rainier.

At about 6:15 a.m. Aug. 5, officers responded to the 3500 block of Rhode Island Ave. to check on a man found lying on the sidewalk. Arriving officers noticed the man suffered trauma to his upper body and pronounced the victim dead on the scene, police said.

The victim has been identified as German Garcia-Paredes of Newark Road in Brentwood.

Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
