Man Kills Uncle In Brandywine Home, Then Turns Gun On Himself: Prince George's Police
A New Jersey man who police say fatally shot his uncle in his Brandywine home has fatally shot himself, according to Prince George's Police.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The victim in last week's fatal shooting inside a Brandywine home has been identified as 62-year-old Lewis Parker, Sr. of Brandywine. His shooter has since killed himself, police say.
On Nov. 20 at approximately 11:50 p.m., officers were called to the 15000 block of Brandywine Road for a report of a shooting. The officers found Parker inside his home with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he died several hours later, according to police.
Detectives identified Parker’s nephew, 29-year-old Elijah Drew of Somers Point, New Jersey, as the suspect shortly after the shooting. The preliminary investigation revealed he traveled to New Jersey after committing the murder. Prince George’s County Police Homicide Unit detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Drew. However, the PGPD has been informed that Drew died from what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Atlantic City, New Jersey, police stated.
