Man Sentenced In Girlfriend's 2025 Fatal Shooting In Accokeek
David Wilson, Jr. has been sentenced in the fatal 2025 shooting of his girlfriend, Edna Lyles of Accokeek, in her home.
FORT WASHINGTON, MD — The boyfriend who fatally shot his girlfriend in her Accokeek home in February 2025 has been sentenced.
A judge sentenced David Wilson, Jr., to life in prison, suspending all but 55 years. He was convicted in the first-degree murder of his girlfriend, 37-year-old Edna Lyles of Accokeek.
On Feb. 5, 2025, around 12:15 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 15700 block of Livingston Road in Fort Washington for a report of a shooting. They found Lyles in her home with gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Prince George's Police. Prosecutors stated that Wilson, Jr. shot Lyles during an argument.
