Man Shot His Brother, Set Him on Fire: Police

Prince George's County Police have charged a Temple Hills man with killing his brother, a Washington, DC resident.

FORESTVILLE, MD — A Temple Hills man has been arrested on murder charges for allegedly shooting his brother, then setting the victim on fire.

Suspect Jacobi Williams, 29, of the 3500 block of 29th Avenue in Temple Hills was arrested Monday, said Prince George's County Police.

He is accused of fatally shooting his brother March 23 in the 5000 block of Hil Mar Drive in Forestville. The victim, Rashaad Tate, 32, of 28th Street SE in Washington, DC., was found outside. He had been shot and also set on fire.

Preliminarily, detectives believe the fatal shooting stemmed from an earlier dispute.

Williams is charged with first- and second-degree murder. He is in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
