Man Shot By Tow Truck Company Employee After Pepper-Spraying Him, Co-Worker

A man who argued with 2 tow truck company employees about getting a tow pepper-sprayed the employees. One then shot him, police say.

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — A man who argued with two tow truck company employees pepper-sprayed them and then one of the employees shot the man, police report.

The incident happened Wednesday around 9:40 p.m. at a parking lot in the 4800 block of Addison Road. According to Prince George's Police, the man who had been shot had approached the two tow truck company employees to talk about a possible tow. The trio began arguing and the man sprayed them with pepper-spray. One employee shot the man. His injuries weren't life-threatening, the police department stated.

Gun Crimes Unit detectives are working with the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office regarding the incident. At this time, no one has been charged in connection with the incident.
