Man Stabs His Two Young Children in District Heights: Police
Police issued an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Christian Dillard over the weekend.

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — Two small children are recovering after police say their father stabbed them at their home in District Heights over the weekend.
Police arrested 25-year-old Christian Dillard on numerous charges after they say he stabbed his two children, both under the age of 5, at around 10 p.m. on Saturday night. The children were hospitalized and are in stable condition.
Police found Dillard at the scene and took him in for an emergency evaluation, and he has since been taken to the Department of Corrections on charges of attempted first degree murder, assault and related charges, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

"Dillard has also been charged with sexually assaulting a woman who lives in the family's home earlier in the day," the report states. "Dillard and the victim had a prior romantic relationship. Following the sexual assault, Dillard fled before officers arrived. A neighborhood canvass was unsuccessful.
"Detectives investigated throughout the day and obtained an arrest warrant for Dillard in that case last night which was then sent to our fugitive squad," the report continues. "The investigation reveals the suspect returned home earlier in the evening. The children were in the care of family members who were also home at the time."
