Man Struck By Car In Bowie Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries

BOWIE, MD — An adult male was struck and seriously injured while crossing Collington Road in Bowie Thursday afternoon, police said.

The male in his 20s was crossing Collington Road (MD 197), near the intersection at Old Chapel Road when he was struck by a car, police said.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was attempting to cross the road about 40-50 yards from the intersection. He was not on a crosswalk when he was struck, police said.

The victim’s injuries are life threatening. His name is not being released at this time.
