Motorcyclist Killed in Big Crash in Capitol Heights
The three-vehicle accident resulted in the death of 29-year-old Christopher Jordan, police say.
CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD -- A major accident in Capitol Heights has resulted in the death of a motorcyclist, and police are seeking the public's help in learning more about what happened.
Police say that 29-year-old Christopher Jordan of Applegarth Place in Capitol Heights died after colliding with a car making a left turn at the intersection of Central Avenue and Cindy Lane at around 11:20 p.m. on July 29. Jordan was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers.
"The preliminary investigation reveals the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Central Avenue approaching Cindy Lane and a car was traveling eastbound on Central Avenue," according to the police report. "The car attempted to make a left turn onto Cindy Lane when it collided with the motorcycle. The collision forced the car to collide with another car that was stopped at the intersection. Both drivers were not hurt and remained on the scene."
