Nanny Accused of Suffocating 8-Month-Old Girl in Glenarden: Police
Police have charged the woman with second-degree murder and first-degree child abuse.

GLENARDEN, MD — Police have arrested a nanny in connection with the death of an 8-month-old girl in Glenarden on Monday.
Oluremi Oyindasola, 66, of Glenarden faces charges of second-degree murder, first-degree child abuse resulting in death and related charges after police say she caused the Enita Salubi of Glenarden to suffocate in an unspecified manner, according to a Prince George's County Police Department statement.
Police say that at around 4:10 p.m. Oct. 24, the baby was rushed to the hospital after she "became unresponsive at home." An autopsy determined the cause of death to be asphyxiation, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide, the report states.

"The preliminary investigation revealed the injuries to the baby occurred while in the sole care and custody of Oyindasola," the report adds.
Oyindasola remains in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
