National Public Lands Day Clean-Up at Oxon Cove Park

Oxon Cove Park  6411 Oxon Hill Road  Oxon Hill, MD 20745  Saturday, September 27, 2014  9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Every year, thousands of Americans participate in the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort for public lands. This year, join the fun and help make a difference. Come alone or bring a group! Take a tractor-drawn wagon ride down to Oxon Cove and pick up litter along the banks of the Potomac River. Earn service hours needed for your organization! Wear old clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting wet and muddy. We will provide work gloves. Meet Ranger Steph in the parking lot. This event takes place rain or shine. For all ages, but young people under age 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. For more information, go to http://www.publiclandsday.org or call 301-839-1176.
