Navy Federal Opens Two Bowie Branches
Branches are part of ongoing credit union expansion
VIENNA, Va. (March 17, 2015) – Navy Federal Credit Union, the world’s largest credit union, held grand openings for two locations in Bowie, Md., yesterday. The branches signify the latest openings within the expanding credit union.
One branch is located in the Bowie Town Center Safeway on Northview Drive. The second branch is also located in a Safeway in the Bowie Fairwood Green Shopping Center. LaShon Trusty manages both branches.
“Being located in the grocery stores allows our members to combine their shopping with banking,” said Coleen Collins, regional manager. “We recognize the convenience of marking two things off a ‘to do’ list in just one stop, and that is a huge win for our members.”

While the new branches are just a short distance apart, each branch plays a role in serving more than 86,000 members living in the area. The two branches, which are the first Navy Federal branches in Bowie, have exclusive offers for members. The credit union is scheduled to open another branch in Glenarden, Md., later this month.
At 440 square feet each, both branches offer a full range of products and services, including full-service walk-up ATMs. Lobby hours are also the same: Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The location at Bowie Town Center is at 4101 Northview Drive, Bowie, Md., 20716, and the location in the Bowie Fairwood Green Shopping Center is at 12410 Fairwood Parkway, Bowie, Md., 20720.
