"We are certainly proud to offer a brand new building, equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The new facility will allow greater efficiency with patient safety and compassionate care as top priorities. In addition, the all-new medical center is the first part of a multi-phase comprehensive medical campus that will serve Laurel and the surrounding communities," Gloria Oniha, DNP, MSN, RN, director of nursing and operations for UM Laurel Medical Center, told Patch.
The new location sits mere steps from the existing location, which will allow for easy accessibility, Oniha said. The proximity of the facility also is centrally located in order to provide convenient services to residents in Prince George’s, Anne Arundel, Howard and Montgomery counties.
