Newborn Girl Found Abandoned Outside: Police
Prince George's County authorities are asking for the public's help to find the child's mother. The baby is in a local hospital.
A newborn baby was found abandoned Wednesday morning near a home in Beltsville, and Prince George’s County Police are asking the public to help find the girl’s mother.
Patrol officers were called to the 12600 block of Shoal Creek Terrace about 11:45 a.m. A neighbor heard the infant crying, found her outside and called 911.
Authorities say the child is being cared for at a local hospital, but she appears to be in good health. Doctors believe the baby was likely born just hours before she was discovered.
