Officer-Involved Shooting Reported In Oxon Hill

UPDATE 4:03 p.m.: Police say an armed suspect shot and killed a victim at a liquor store at the corner of Livingston Road and Oxon Hill Road at 1:15 p.m., and as the suspect ran from the store, an officer who heard the shots confronted him. "The officer shouted commands to the suspect," police tweeted. "The suspect who was still armed was running toward the officer. The officer discharged his duty weapon, striking and killing the suspect. Suspect’s gun was recovered next to the suspect."

OXON HILL, MD -- Police are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting in Oxon Hill Wednesday afternoon.

Prince George's County Police Department tweeted at 1:50 p.m. that they were responding to the 6200 block of Livingston Road.

No further details were available.
