Officer Suspended After Arrest For Assaulting Deputy During Domestic Dispute: PGPD
A Prince George's police officer has been suspended after he was arrested for assaulting a deputy during a domestic dispute, police say.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A Prince George’s County Police officer has been suspended with pay after being arrested Tuesday morning.
A preliminary investigation indicates that Prince George's Police Officer Charles Williams Jr. hit a Charles County sheriff’s deputy during a call for a domestic dispute at his home located in Charles County at approximately 1 a.m. The deputy was uninjured.
Williams Jr. has been charged with second-degree assault in Charles County. Williams Jr. joined the Prince George's Police Department in 2015. He is currently assigned to the Bureau of Patrol.
