Officer Suspended After DUI Charge

A Prince George's County Police officer is suspended with pay while his drunk driving charge is investigated.

A Prince George’s County Police officer is suspended with pay after he was charged with drunk driving Oct. 12 by the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority Police Department.

Corporal Arvester Horner was off duty at the time of his arrest, say police.

The department has launched an administrative investigation into the arrest. Horner is currently suspended with pay pending an administrative hearing.

Police say Horner did not have his duty weapon with him and he was not driving a departmental vehicle at the time of his arrest.

Horner has been employed by the PGPD for 14 years, and is assigned to the Bureau of Patrol.
