'Old Bowie Celebrates' Event Saturday With Live Music, Food Vendors, Arts And Crafts

"Old Bowie Celebrates" will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with live music, food vendors and arts and crafts vendors.

BOWIE, MD β€” Join in the fun Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Old Bowie Celebrates.

There will be a variety of music from rhythm and blues to steel drums, reggae and bagpipes. One stage will be solely for international music and dance. There also will be street entertainers, local and international foods available, plus arts and crafts vendors.

Children can enjoy hands-on cultural activities and a special performance by Kidsinger Jim.

The festival stretches from 12th Street and Chestnut Avenue to Maple Avenue and 9th Street. Road closures will be in effect on the day of the festival, including portions of 9th Street and Chestnut Avenue. A free shuttle bus service will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., looping between Rockledge Elementary (Rte. 197), two bus stops on the grounds of the festival and Huntington South Park (11th Street).
