Outdoor PGC Park And Rec Programming Canceled, Ball Fields Closed Due To Heat
The M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation in Prince George's has canceled all outdoor programming for July 9 and closed ball fields.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — All outdoor programming has been canceled for July 9 due to extreme heat, officials announced. Athletic fields have closed but indoor facilities are open and indoor programming will continue as scheduled.
The M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation in Prince George’s County said residents should avoid visiting the following locations today:
- Parks
- Trails
- Outdoor tennis, pickleball, basketball courts
- Playgrounds
- Golf courses
- Picnic pavilions
- Campgrounds
- Playgrounds
- Trap and skeet
- Old Maryland farm
- Any other outdoor parks and rec facility
