Outdoor Prince George's Parks And Rec Programming Canceled Due To Heat July 15

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Due to the extreme heat forecast for July 15, all county parks and recreation programming outdoors has been canceled.

Indoor facilities remain open and indoor programs will continue as scheduled. All cooling centers and indoor and outdoor pools will remain open and operate under regular scheduled hours.

The M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation in Prince George’s County encourages residents to postpone visits to:

• Parks
• Trails
• Outdoor tennis, pickleball, basketball courts
• Synthetic turf fields
• Playgrounds
• Golf courses
• Picnic pavilions
• Campgrounds
• Playgrounds
• Trap & skeet
• Old Maryland farm
