Oxon Hill Murder Vicitims Were Wife, Mother-in-Law of Suspect

Prince George's County police say an Oxon Hill man killed his wife and her 83-year-old mother in their home Saturday.

A man was arrested in Sussex County, VA, for the deaths of his wife and her mother, who were found inside a house in the 5500 block of Chloe Drive in Oxon Hill by the Prince George’s County Police Department.

The suspect, Malcolm Paul Thomas, 54, of the 5500 block of Chloe Drive in Oxon Hill, was arrested late Saturday evening in Wakefield, VA. He is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his wife, Janice Marshall-Thomas, 54, and her mother, Eunice Brooks, 83.

Police say the women and Malcolm Thomas all lived in the house in the 5500 block of Chloe Drive.

Investigators quickly developed Thomas as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. He is currently in custody in Wakefield, VA, awaiting extradition back to Prince George’s County.

Police were called to the address for a welfare check about 7:50 a.m. Saturday.

When officers arrived, they found the women inside suffering from trauma to the body. They were both pronounced dead on the scene.
