Pearl, Penny: Adorable Adoptable Of The Week In Prince George's

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Numerous adorable adoptables await their forever homes through The SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George's County, Inc.

Penny Lane has been declared the snuggliest dog on the planet by her foster family. The 8-year-old sweetheart was surrendered by her owners pregnant and with pneumonia. She arrived confused and heartbroken. Then she lost her puppies shortly after their birth.

It took a few weeks of compassion, attention and medical care, but Penny is slowly learning to trust and love again. She's warming up to humans and loves belly rubs. She knows basic commands and is quite smart, her foster family reports.

Pearl was rescued off the streets just in time to deliver her litter of kittens somewhere cozy and warm. She was switched to a foster home where she and her babies could receive tons of attention and care. Now Pearl and the kittens are ready for their forever home.

Pearl would do best if she could be adopted with her kitten Luna who she's most closely bonded with. She's also do well in a home without kids younger than 10. Pearl loves to chase wand toys, play with her kittens and nap in a cat tree.
