Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Car In Riverdale Park: Police
Police are trying to determine if the man was in the crosswalk when he was struck Thursday night.

RIVERDALE PARK, MD -- A man has died after he was struck by a car in Riverdale Park late last week, police say.
Patrol officers responded to a collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Kenilworth Avenue and Spring Lane at around 7 p.m. on Oct. 19. The pedestrian, 45-year-old Demetrio Lopez of Lanhma, was taken to the hospital where he died a short time later, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.
The driver of the car was unharmed. Police believe Lopez was trying to cross Kenilworth Avenue, and they are trying to determine if he was in a crosswalk at the time, the report states.
