Pedestrian Killed In Possible DUI Crash On Outer Loop: Police
A Prince George's County man was killed while changing a tire on the Outer Loop, and police suspect the driver who hit him was impaired.

OXON HILL, MD — A pedestrian is dead and another is facing charges after a vehicle crash in Prince George’s County that Maryland state troopers believe may have involved an impaired driver. Authorities say Samuel Brown, 51, of Clinton was pronounced dead at the accident scene on the Outer Loop by Prince George’s County EMS personnel.
The driver of the victim’s Jeep Cherokee is Aejah Brown, 23, of Clinton. A passenger in Brown’s vehicle is Brittany Campbell, 22, of Lanham. Neither were injured in the accident. Maryland State Police say the at-fault driver is a 29-year-old Temple Hills man. He has not yet been identified due to pending criminal charges.
Shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday, Maryland State Police received calls from drivers reporting a crash involving an SUV and a pedestrian on the Outer Loop of 495 at St. Barnabas Road in Oxon Hill. Investigators say Brown was changing a tire on his Jeep when he was struck.

Troopers say the driver who reportedly struck Brown was possibly operating under the influence.
The Maryland State Police Crash Team will forward the results of its investigation to the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office for review regarding charges.
