PG County Murder Suspect Arrested: Police
Police have arrested Tyrone Smith in connection with a Suitland shooting earlier this month.
SUITLAND, MD -- Police have made in arrested in the fatal shooting of a District Heights man in Suitland earlier this month.
Police were called to the 3600 block of Silver Park Drive at around 11 p.m. on Sept. 2 to report of a shooting, and found 50-year-old Anthony Burress of District Heights suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department. Burress died 12 days later from his injuries, police say.
Police announced Tuesday that they have arrested 38-year-old Tyrone Smith, Jr. of Northwest D.C. in connection with the shooting, which police believe stemmed from a dispute, the report states.

Smith faces charges of first and second degree murder, among others. He remains in custody without bond.
