PG County Police to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint on St. Patrick's Day

Revelers beware: police will be out in force this Friday evening to catch drunk drivers.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — It's a bad idea to drink and drive on any night, but it's an exceptionally bad idea to do it on St. Patrick's Day in Prince George's County this year.

The Prince George's County Police Department has announced they'll be conducting a sobriety checkpoint on Friday, March 17 from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m. the next day. They aren't revealing where these checkpoints will be taking place, or even in what section of the county.

Police also intend to hold multiple checkpoints throughout the year to crack down on drunk driving in the area.
