PG County Primary Ballots Sent With Spanish-Only Instructions

Prince George's County Board of Elections discovered it made a mistake when it mailed ballots for the June 7 vote-by-mail primary.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD β€” The Prince George’s County Board of Elections (PGCBOE) discovered Wednesday that it had made a mistake when it mailed ballots for the Maryland State Board of Elections for the June 2 Vote By Mail Primary Election. Some voters received Spanish-only ballot instructions, when they were supposed to receive instructions in both English and Spanish.

Voters who had received the Spanish-only instructions informed the PGCBOE of the error, according to a Prince George's County press release. PGCBOE informed the State Board of Elections (SBE) of the error, and is working with SBE to identify the Prince George's County residents who may have received the Spanish-only instructions.

In the meantime, PGCBOE has placed a link to the English instructions for voters on its website. It also began sending English instructions to county voters by mail and email. Voters seeking more information can call PGCBOE at 301-341-7300.
