Police to Canvass Lewisdale Neighborhood in Search of Man's Killer

LEWISDALE, MD — Police will canvass a Lewisdale neighborhood Thursday evening in the hopes of tracking down the killer of 24-year-old Cristian Garcia-Rodriguez, who was shot to death early Tuesday morning.

Police responded to the 6700 block of 20th Avenue in Lewisdale at around 12:50 a.m. Nov. 1 to a report of a shooting. Once there, they found Garcia-Rodriguez suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

Garcia-Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene. Police don't think the shooting was random.

Police will canvass the block where the crime happened beginning at 6 p.m. Nov. 3 to help identify a suspect and motive in the case. They are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
