Police Identify Elderly Pedestrian Killed in Upper Marlboro
Prince George's County Police have released the name of an Upper Marlboro man who died after he was hit in a crosswalk.

Upper Marlboro, MD — An elderly man has died after he was struck by an SUV while walking in a crosswalk in Upper Marlboro.
Prince George's County Police say the victim is Gregory Scott Pharr, 76, of Park Road in Upper Marlboro. He was hit by an SUV about 12:30 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of Watkins Park Drive at Chesterton Drive.
Investigators say the SUV was making a left turn onto Watkins Park Drive when it struck Pharr as he was attempting to cross the roadway. It appears Pharr was in a crosswalk when he was struck.

Pharr was taken to an area hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
The driver of the SUV remained on the scene.

Police have not released the name of the driver or said if charges will be filed in the accident.
