Police Identify One of Two Bladensburg Shooting Victims

A Landover Hills man's name was released; he was fatally shot Tuesday. A second, unidentified victim, remains hospitalized, police say.

A Landover Hills man has been identified by Prince George’s County Police as the person killed in a double shooting that occurred in Bladensburg.

Antione Jajuan Freeman, 23, of Webster Street in Landover Hills died Tuesday from a gunshot wound. Bladensburg Police officers found Freeman in the 5600 block of Mary A Court following a report of gunfire. Officers performed CPR while awaiting paramedics, but Freeman died at an area hospital.

Another police officer responding to the 5000 block of 57th Avenue in Bladensburg for a report of a second gunshot victim followed a vehicle driving erratically from the area to a local hospital. This vehicle took a second man with gunshot wounds to the hospital.

Police believe both gunshot victims were wounded in the same incident. Authorities have not released the name of the second shooting victim.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in the case.

Prince George’s County homicide detectives are working to establish a suspect and motive in the shootings.
