Police Make 4 DUI Arrests At PG County Checkpoint
A Labor Day weekend DUI checkpoint in the county ensnared a few drivers, police say.

BELTSVILLE, MD -- A DUI checkpoint in Beltsville over the weekend resulted in several arrests for driving under the influence, police say.
Police set up on southbound Route 1 in the area of Ammendale Road in Beltsville at around 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, according to a statement from Maryland State Police.
After around four hours, police ended the checkpoint. A total of 525 vehicles passed through the area, and four drivers were arrested for driving under the influence, police say.

Two of the four were also charged with driving with suspended licenses, and a civil citation was issued to one driver for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams, the statement reads.
