Police Make Quick Arrest in Forestville Shooting
The Prince George's County Police Department has charged a man with second-degree murder for a shooting after an argument.

An argument between two acquaintances spiraled into a fatal shooting and one man’s arrest, authorities say.
The Prince George’s County Police Department says officers were called to the 6500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue Thursday afternoon for the report of a shooting. Patrol officers found Dayonte Mathew Shannon, 24, of Morocco Street in Capitol Heights dead from a gunshot wound at the scene.

Investigators believe Shannon argued with Daveon Lamar Ward, 26, of the 6500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Forestville. The dispute escalated into the shooting.
Ward was arrested Friday afternoon in Southeast Washington. He is charged with second-degree murder.
