Police Officer Stabbed In Prince George's County While On Duty
Breaking: A Prince George's County police officer was stabbed in the leg Tuesday morning, a report says. This is a developing story.
CLINTON, MD — A Prince George's County police officer was stabbed in the leg Tuesday morning, a report says. The stabbing happened around 9:20 a.m. in Clinton.
Officers reported to the 7200 block of Serenade Circle for reports of disorder. Upon arrival, they found a "male under distress."
"At some point during the investigation, officers engaged in a physical altercation with the man," the Prince George's County Police Department announced at 11:10 a.m. "The altercation resulted with one of the responding officers sustaining a stab wound to the leg."

Medics took the officer to a nearby hospital. The officer is expected to survive.
