Police Officer Suspended After Assault Charges
The probationary officer for the Prince George's County Police Department could be fired.

Probationary Officer Themis Speis has been suspended from the Prince George’s County Police Department after he was charged Sunday with second-degree assault.
The assault stemmed from a domestic situation while Speis was off duty. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at a hospital.
Speis, 27, has been with the department for about 18 months. He is assigned to the Bureau of Patrol, District VI. His police powers have been suspended.
