Police Release Name of Cab Driver Killed

A Northeast Washington man was the taxi driver fatally shot Wednesday inside of his cab in Capitol Heights, according to an update from the Prince George’s Police Department.

Police received a call for a suspicious car on a roadway at about 1 a.m. Dec. 31. When officers arrived to the 800 block of Balsamtree Drive, they found Kedir Yahya, 28, of Orren Street in Northeast Washington suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.
