Police Will Canvass Neighborhood After Man Shot to Death in Capitol Heights

Carrington Carter II was found Dec. 30 with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — Police will canvass a Capitol Heights neighborhood Thursday night to investigate the death of a man who was shot multiple times last week.

Detectives with the Homicide Unit will seek to gather information on the death of 27-year-old Carrington Carter II of Fort Washington, who was found Dec. 30 at 10:10 p.m. in the 7100 block of White Pearl Place with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

Carter was pronounced dead a short time later at the hospital.

Police will begin the canvass at 6:30 p.m. at the location of the shooting. Authorities are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
