Rainbow Festival Saturday, Pride Events Offered All Month Long In Prince George's County
Celebrate Pride Month at Saturday's Rainbow Festival or at various Pride events offered all month long in Prince George's County.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Pride events will be held all month long in Prince George's County including family pride story time and a Rainbow Festival Saturday.
For LGBTQ+ Pride Month 2022, the Prince George's County Memorial Library System will offer more than two dozen events ranging from storytimes to educational and social events for adults.
All month long the Bowie Library will host the “Black and Proud +” art exhibit that features art by DMV-area Black and LGBTQ+ artists.

The inaugural Rainbow Festival will be held at the New Carrollton Branch Library Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with fun activities for all ages. Renowned drag performer Emerald Star launches PGCMLS’ inaugural book crawl series for adults with Drag Bingo at Denizen’s Brewing Company in Riverdale Park June 29 at 7 p.m.
“The library has an important responsibility to ensure that LGBTQ+ Prince Georgians have a welcoming environment to access resources, services and collection materials that will help them thrive,” Nicholas A. Brown, chief operating officer for communication and outreach for the library system.
