Prince George's Schools Make Weather Call For Friday, March 1
Prince George's County Public Schools have made schedule changes for Friday, March 1.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Public schools in Prince George's County will open late on Friday, March 1, officials said. Authorities made the announcement Thursday night.
Both schools and school offices will open two hours late on Friday, according to Prince George's County Public Schools. Officials will re-evalute the delay at 6:30 a.m., according to a district statement.

Friday, March 1, 2019 — PGCPS — Code Orange: PGCPS schools and offices will open with a two-hour delay.
EMERGENCY PERSONNEL must report to work on time and are not eligible for liberal leave.
- There will be no work-study transportation. (Those students should not report to school.)
- There will be no half-day Early Childhood Center (ECC), half-day Special Education Programs, or half-day PreK.
- Any other school program requiring transportation prior to 12 noon will NOT have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center, JA Finance Park, and William S. Schmidt Center (Camp Schmidt)
- All field trips will be cancelled.
- Food Services will offer breakfast.
Prince George's County is under a winter weather advisory from 10 p.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow.
