Prince George's Teens Get Spotlight On TV Show About Community Issues

A Prince George's County TV show broadcasts teen discussions on local issues like voting, social justice and life after high school.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Prince George's County teenagers are featured on a TV show broadcasting roundtables on local issues. The series is called Teens Talk Television, also known as TTTV.

In Reach, Inc., a Prince George's County nonprofit, launched the show last year. It has already reached thousands of viewers, a Sept. 14 press release noted.

"In Reach believes that students should always be in reach of a quality education and opportunities to help them develop and achieve their dreams," Founder and Executive Director Toni A. Smith said in the release. "We are thrilled to offer this platform to young people to discuss how they can play an active role in improving their communities."

The series is still in its inaugural season. Its first five episodes unpacked these topics:

"In Reach is committed to helping Maryland students and young adults grow and develop as they navigate their journey to college, work, and life," Smith added. "We are hoping TTTV will remind them that their voices matter and by speaking up on important issues they can help others while achieving their personal goals."
