Proof Of Vaccination Not Needed To Enter Bowie Rec Facilities: City Officials

Proof of vaccination is not needed to enter Bowie recreational facilities, the City Council decided Monday night. Masks are required though.

BOWIE, MD β€” The Bowie City Council has voted to keep its recreational facilities open in the face of rising COVID-19 cases and not require proof of vaccination to enter. However, masks still are required to go into the ice arena, gymnasium and museums. City council members made the decision at a special meeting Monday night.

The Maryland Department of Health will be opening or expanding COVID-19 testing sites across the state. Three are in Prince George’s County and two are drive-through. No appointments are needed.

Monday through Sunday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Washington Education Zone (drive-thru)
6511 Princess Garden Parkway, Lanham
Monday through Sunday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

City of Praise Family Ministries
8501 Jericho City Drive, Landover
Monday noon – 6 p.m.
Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
