Random Bystander Stabbed In The Head, Suspect On The Run: Laurel Police

The Laurel Police Department is searching for Aric Carpenter, 26, after they say he stabbed a random bystander in the head then ran off.

LAUREL, MD — Police continue to search for the man they say stabbed a random bystander in the head.

The Laurel Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for Aric Carpenter, 26, for attempted murder, first-degree assault and other charges. The incident happened Saturday in the 7800 block of Contee Road in Laurel. Carpenter took off after the stabbing and his current whereabouts are unknown at this time. The victim was treated at an area hospital and is expected to fully recover from their injuries.

Carpenter stands 6’01 tall and weighs approximately 220 pounds. He has multiple tattoos on his face, including the word “Kim” on his cheek. Carpenter should be considered armed and extremely dangerous. If anyone comes into contact with Carpenter, contact your local police department immediately, the Laurel Police Department stated.
