Red-Light Running Driver Smashes Into 2 Cars in Accokeek, Pronounced Dead: Police
An early Saturday morning crash sent two drivers to the hospital and killed the one police say ignored a red light.
ACCOKEEK, MD — A man is dead after police say he ran a red light and crashed into two vehicles that were turning left in front of him in Accokeek over the weekend.
Police responded to the intersection of Indian Head Highway and Berry Road at around 1:15 a.m. on Oct. 15 to a report of a three-car accident, and found 21-year-old Jaylen Williams of Upper Marlboro dead at the scene, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.
"The preliminary investigation reveals Williams was traveling northbound on Indian Head Highway approaching the intersection of Berry Road," the report state. "Two cars were turning left from southbound Indian Head Highway onto Berry Road with the right of way. Williams’s car entered the intersection against a red signal and stuck the two vehicles in the intersection."

The drivers of the other cars were taken to the hospital. They had non-life-threatening injuries.
