Resident Kills Burglary Suspect Identified as Ex-Boyfriend: Police (Updated)
Authorities say an Upper Marlboro resident shot and killed a Baltimore man reportedly breaking into his house Monday.

A Baltimore man was shot and killed early Monday while reportedly trying to climb through the window of an Upper Marlboro residence where a former boyfriend lives, police say.
Prince George’s County Police say on Twitter that officers were called about 2:40 a.m. to the 6100 block of Blue Sage Lane in Upper Marlboro. The resident of the home called 911 and told dispatchers he shot someone who was breaking into his home.

Police say Craig Ivan Corbin Jr., 30, of the 3300 block of Dorithan Road in Baltimore was found outside the house suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say Corbin and the resident had a prior romantic relationship. Police are working with the State’s Attorney Office, which will determine whether charges are filed in the case.
