Residents Flee Homes As Fires Ignite: Prince George's Fire Department
Residents had to escape their homes in two separate fires that broke out this week, according to the Prince George's County Fire Department.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Firefighters responded to two house fires this week that prompted people to flee the homes for safety.
A house fire broke out just before 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 9300 block of Biemans Terrace in Springdale. Firefighters found a fire in the bedroom, which ended up being extinguished by the home's sprinkler system. Two adults and four children were displaced by the fire and are being assisted by Prince George's County Office of Emergency Management. No injuries were reported.
Another house fire led to the evacuation of residents in the home located at 24th Avenue and Britol Place in Hillcrest Heights. That fire broke out shortly after 4:33 p.m. Tuesday.
