Ride Share Driver Reports Carjacking By Passengers In College Park
A ride share driver reported being carjacked by passengers in College Park. The vehicle has been recovered and the investigation continues.
COLLEGE PARK, MD — An off-campus carjacking has been reported in College Park that involved a ride share driver.
On Sept. 13 around 5:18 p.m., a man reported to the Prince George's County Police Department that he was in the 6800 block of Dartmouth Avenue, wrapping up a ride share trip with three passengers, when two of the three passengers pulled out handguns and demanded the driver give them his vehicle. The driver complied and the suspects took off in his vehicle, according to police.
Prince George's Police recovered the driver's vehicle and continues to investigate the incident. Anyone with information related to this incident and/or the possible identity of the suspects is asked to contact the Prince George’s County Police Department (911 or 301-352-1200).
