Road Rage Incident In PG County Leads To Driver's Arrest

Greenbelt police officers arrested a driver they say was involved in a road rage incident Wednesday afternoon.

GREENBELT, MD — A Greenbelt driver has been arrested after police say he pointed a gun at another driver in a road rage incident.

The altercation happened Wednesday around 3 p.m. at the intersection of westbound Greenbelt Road and Edmonston Road. During the road rage incident, the suspect pointed a gun at the victim twice, police reported.

The victim told police that the armed man was driving a white Lexus SUV, which pulled up alongside his vehicle, and the driver aimed a handgun at him. The victim photographed the suspect's vehicle, capturing its registration, which helped officers identify the vehicle and driver.

Police units later found the parked SUV in the 6200 block of Springhill Drive. When the suspect left the apartment building, he was arrested on charges related to the handgun, the Greenbelt Police Department stated.
