Maryland Coronavirus Hospitalizations Dip Below 1K

Fewer than 1,000 people are hospitalized with the virus in the state, the Maryland Department of Health reported Monday morning.

MARYLAND — As more state offices reopen Monday during stage two of Maryland's reopening, there are fewer than 1,000 people hospitalized with the coronavirus, health officials say.

In Maryland 58,404 people have tested positive for the coronavirus, state health officials reported Monday morning, an increase of 431 confirmed cases in the past day.

A total of 2,653 people in Maryland have died from the virus, health officials said Monday morning.
