Santa's Helpers Take Injured Officer's Daughter Shopping
Cpl. Josh Kozay is recovering from a broken back, so his fellow officers took young Haleigh Christmas shopping. And she loved it.
BOWIE, MD — Nothing makes the season come alive like helping someone else, especially when that brings a smile to a child.
A group of Prince George’s County Police officers took the daughter of an injured officer shopping for Christmas presents last weekend. Corporal Josh Kozay of the department’s Internal Affairs Division, broke his back earlier this year and is still recovering. So his brothers and sisters in blue took his daughter, Haleigh, out to the stores.
Santa’s helpers included Corporals Paul Mazzei, Walter Calhoun and Allice Lee. Montgomery County Police Department officer Seth Carson also helped with the effort.
